Motivation and goal of the network
The worldwide, rapid spread of SARS-CoV-2 and the associated COVID-19 pandemic have made it clear how sensitive the global community can be as a result of the pandemic course of an infectious disease. The network's vision is to develop innovative technical solutions to protect against endemic, epidemic or pandemic infectious diseases. The solutions should not only focus on singular outbreaks of infection, but should also take into account seasonal infections. The aim of the network is the initiation and development of so-called non-pharmaceutical and non-medical measures for infection protection and pandemic prevention. Specifically, the network aims to develop products, services, processes and procedures in the following areas: innovative filter systems and indoor air quality, diagnostics, rapid tests, sensors, disinfection and protective equipment.
